passive screen focus on first ascendancy and weird behavior on second ascendancy

First off I'm not totally sure whether this is specific to controllers, but think it might be.

When I gained my first ascendancy and chose Invoker as Monk, the passive skill tree opened, but it was centered on where I had left off (like usual) rather than on the ascendancy tree in the middle of the panel. It should probably center on the ascendancy tree when you've just ascended, otherwise it just looks like the passive tree popped up for no reason.

When I passed the trail for the second ascendancy, I clicked on the shrine, and
the description image/tree of the other Chayula ascendancy briefly showed up and the character said something like "my path becomes clearer". The Chayula screen closed and I was left wondering whether I had accidentally switched ascendancies or something. It wasn't until I checked the passive tree and saw that I had two points to spend that I was sure it worked.
