POE 2 crashes my internet periodically

Hello!

I will be playing for about 30 minutes before my internet will go out. It happens almost every single time I try to play.

I have a newly built desktop PC hardlined to my router via ethernet. I also have 100MB cable internet. I know the internet will go out because my wife or children will experience connectivity issues when it happens. It doesn't happen with any other software or game and my ISP can't find any issues with my connection or router. It also happens even if no other devices are currently using bandwidth. I'm just curious if this is a known issue and what I can do about it. Thanks.

Had the exact same problem and searched for the problem for several hours and probably found the solution. I'm still testing it but my game is running.
Are you from Germany and have a Fritz-Box?

I also have the same Problem, that my Internet gets disconnected randomly and only for me my grilfriend can still play fine her games. Also only happens when I play PoE2.
Im also from Germany and have Fritzbox Telekom (IPS) told me its not a Problem from their side.
If u found out a solution I would appreciate the help.

All clear, no problem. I can definitely say that it works and has caused problems in a few other games. I'm talking about layer 2 here, which you can only switch off yourself on some Fritz-Boxes (not all). It also varies from provider to provider. (I'm with Vodafone)

Important: your PC or laptop must be connected to the LAN Cable. or you can do it with your mobile devices using the Fritz App.

-First, log into the Fritz-Box (Most of the time it is the IP address or, as was the case for me, simply typing in the full name of the Fritz-Box
-Go to help and information (for me it is the last menu point on the left page)
-Then scroll all the way down and go to FRITZ!Box Support
-Scroll through a bit and uncheck layer 2, everything else stays the same, and I also deactivated EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) then put a tick there.
Important then don't forget to save and restart Router done.

I tried it and I came across the Problem that If I restart my router as said in the link u attached, my router doesnt save the changes and activates Layer2 again automaticlly. I couldnt find a solution to why my router doesnt save the changes even when I press "Einstellungen übernehmen" but as soon as I restart the changes are reverted back :/

Sadly couldnt test it out If the fix works. I just tested it without restarting but that doesnt seem to work :(

Maybe u have an idea why my router doesnt apply the changes when I restart it,

Hmm ok, that's a provider (ISP) thing. I have the same problem when deactivating packet acceleration (Paketbeschleinigung), but Layer 2 acceleration (Layer 2 Beschleunigung) works for me. You can try to call them and ask, otherwise I can't help.

This has happened to me also or atleast I suspect POE 2 is affecting my router.
When I play POE 2 it seems that suddenly my router reboots itself. This happens once in 20 minutes or something like that. Sometimes more often.

If I do anything else it does not happen, but always when playing POE 2.

I got Sagemcom F-5670.

Not sure if its about the build im playing I have multiple exploding grenade explosions and with a lot of mobs, if those are burst sending packets.

I’m experiencing the same issue at the moment. POE2 ran smoothly during the first two weeks after the game’s launch, but suddenly, starting last week I can no longer log in. Every time I press the login button, it shuts down my entire PC internet connection. I never have this issue with any other games. Interestingly, the game will run when using my phone's personal hotspot. I'm certain that the game is triggering a conflict the Windows 11 or router firewall settings, which needs to be fixed.

All devices in the house will loose connection, have to restart router to get the internet back.
The game is unplayable because of this issue.
