Zones needs to be smaller during campaign
I appreciate the teleporting between checkpoints (whenever it comes), but that doesn’t change my opinion on that zone sizes during the campaign are too big. This is particularly noticeable in A2 & A3.
The reason for this is that a campaign with 100% larger zones will take (rough estimate) 100% longer to complete. And while I don’t mind a long campaign, making it longer through zone sizes doesn’t add: 1. Interesting lore 2. Interesting seeded drops 3. Interesting boss fights. It just adds more fluff, chore, drag and slog. The D2 campaign constantly hits you with the next area while giving ample opportunity to go explore the non-essential parts of the zones. In PoE2, we’re simply running around non-essential zones to find the next entrance. Instead of having a clear path through the game, the entire game is the Worldstone Keep.
