No Early Access despite spending over 480$ threshold - EARLY ACCESS FAQ WAS CHANGED

On November 21st you posted your Early Access FAQ for PoE 2

https://web.archive.org/web/20241127022640/https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3587981/page/1#p25485982

Here is what it said -

"How to join Early Access?
Purchasing one of new Early Access Supporter Packs with a key grants you access.

As we have also announced earlier, if you've purchased a top-tier supporter pack in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform, you'll automatically have access to Path of Exile 2. In this case you'll receive an email (if we have one for you) and PM on the website that lets you know that your account has had access granted. We will begin inviting players in the next two weeks. Please note that the threshold is the same for all countries and does not take regional prices into account.

How will I know if my lifetime purchases meet the threshold?
You can check your past purchases by visiting Your Account on the website and selecting, "View transactions."

Your valid purchases will include any purchase that was made with dollars instead of points. Points keys that were redeemed on your account will not contribute to this total.

A lot of people have been emailing customer support to ask if they meet the threshold. We'd prefer if you could wait until the Early Access begins and see if you're immediately invited, and then contact support if you didn't get an invite but you believe your lifetime support exceeds $480 USD."

There is absolutely ZERO language about past support regarding dollar purchases, only in relation to previous supporter packs. The only language relating to dollar amounts is about lifetime purchases and ANY purchase that was made with dollars. There is no indication that purchases made after the release of this announcement were invalid.

Then on December 4th you updated the Early Access FAQ without any explanation.

You added this line, 2 days before the release of early access -

"Please note that lifetime purchases only count the packs and purchases made prior to the release of Path of Exile 2 Early Access Supporter Packs."

I read the FAQ on November 30th. I was at 470$ in lifetime purchases. I purchased an early access supporter pack to bring my total LIFETIME purchases to 500$ and so that I could gift my girlfriend the game and we could play early access together. I believed I would automatically receive access on my account as I had now spent over 480$ in LIFETIME purchases. Again, there was absolutely no indication in your FAQ at the time that purchases made after the release of this FAQ and early access packs would not count towards the LIFETIME purchase amount.

I did not receive early access on this account automatically, and I believe that your changing of the language on your FAQ was wrong. People who have spent over 480$ in lifetime purchases, prior to the changing of your FAQ on December 4th should receive early access as was stated in your FAQ from November 21- December 4th.

Still awaiting a response.
It’s been multiple weeks, should I assume that support will not be responding at all?
The invitational key was only sent to accounts that have met the threshold for crossing $480 USD prior to the release of Path of Exile 2 Early Access supporter packs.

I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you.
The FAQ never said anything about purchases made prior to the release of early access packs UNTIL December 4th. I made my purchases before December 4th, before you changed the language.

The FAQ said that early access would be given to any accounts with over 480$ of lifetime purchases.

You then changed that language.

The confusion on my part, is because you changed your FAQ after I made my purchases.

Why does nobody from GGG acknowledge that the early access FAQ was changed????
Because nothing was changed internally.
The definition of lifetime purchases was changed.

Still waiting for an explanation of what “lifetime purchases” means to GGG.

Because as of December 4th it apparently means any purchases made prior to Poe 2 early access packs. Before that, there was no way to know that was their interpretation of what “lifetime purchases” meant.

“Prior to the release of path of exile 2 early access supporter packs” was not in the FAQ until December 4th. When you released the FAQ there was no indication that purchases made would not count towards lifetime purchases.
If accurate, this seems like incredibly wretched behaviour by GGG.

Absolutely snubbing people who have supported them for the better part of a decade with 480USD of purchases so that they can earn an extra 30 bucks forcing them to buy an extra early access key. In this case, to bring new blood into the game -- something they should really be happy about.

Unless there's a satisfactory resolution to this incident, I don't think I can continue supporting them with purchases in good conscience.

I hope GGG gets back to you OP.

P.S. You may wish to post this on the PoE 2 subreddit to get more attention, if they do not give a satisfactory reply.
