[PoE2] Shield as it's own skill category
I think that having shield skills tied to weapons (assuming that more are added with the other 1-handed melees) will end up feeling kinda clunky when all of the game's skill sets are in; it already feels a bit weird to have the few shield skills there are tied to Mace, since they don't share much with it outside of "likes slams sometimes." Especially since I imagine mace won't be the only weapon with slams.
I think having a shield skill category would help once it has more skills in the game, even if warrior with mace/shield stays as the thematic "shield character." It would let shield builds be a lot more malleable in main hand choice, and give more room for actual main-hand weapon skills. Last bumped on Dec 16, 2024, 2:48:30 AM
