[POE2] Performance issue. 50 fps max + drops to 10

My fps in POE2 seems capped at 50 again (1% N 30), which drops to 10 and below in combat.

I tried every display setting combination (ingame and system) there is, without any noticable difference. Idle fps stays at 47-50, drops are "consistent". (exception DX11 140+ fps, but drops/stutters to 1 fps in heavy combat []minion/srs/flamewall]).

Windows/Drivers are up to date.

DISCLAIMER: None of those settings seem to influence the fps issue noticable (except DX11 as mentioned above)

Had this issue since release, BUT on the 14th it miraculously worked (at least better} for an evening, got ~100 fps+ with Vulkan. Didn't try around with any settings that day, since i was just happy to be able to play properly. Next day it went back to max 50 fps without any setting changes.
IIRC: On that day GPU usage was ~70% and CPU 30%.

Can provide more info if needed.

unfortunately game is still borderline unplayable at this point.
latest patch (pre shader patch) didnt change anything for me

I reported these problems too and I sent them also an email, listing all the issues and specs of my hardware.
GGG actually is in "Silent Mode" and I don't think they'll do anything before the holidays.

The disappointment is also for the Content Creators that none of them have same issues (I don't know, they have an "Uber" hardware) they know that their communities have problems but they don't talk about it.

If none of them at least talks about it, writes posts or makes some "noise" about this problem GGG will do absolutely nothing immediately.

It would be better if at least they made an announcement for these issues, like "we know about these issues, after the holidays we will make a patch" or something like that.
But only making patches to improve gameplay is not respectful to those who have these problems.
And there are many people who have these problems.


I am forced to NOT play my beautiful Witch Infernalist Summoner for two reasons:

1) With all the flames, raging spirits and minions on the ground you can't see absolutely nothing.
I die because there is "stuff" on the ground that I can't see.

2) 2 skeleton soldiers, 6 arsonists, 11 raging spirits, 10 zombies, flames and the game becomes "a pixel" (stuttering, low fps, my GPU go over 80 celsius)
I don't understand, has GGG gone back to being again a "Small Indie Company" like 10 years ago?
for me its not related to any char/build, same performance on a lvl1 char
the overall game performance is just abysmal, still unable to play at all
i just log in once a day and play around with the settings to see if somethings changed

at this point i tried every "fix" ppl posted here and on reddit, be it ingame or system wise

at this point i highly doubt its on me, since the game worked properly for one patch/day
the fact that its hardstuck on 50fps, no matter the settings, indicates the same
additionally tried benchmarks and other games which show good results/ work as expected

i think i could even manage to play if the 50fps would be at least stable, but the avg 1% L sits at 20, even idle, not even talking about combat, which is more of a powerpoint

lastest patch (27.12.2024) on 0.1.0e improved it for me.
hideout 180fps
town 140fps
map 100fps
combat 80fps (full srs, minion build)

but runs kinda smoothly for now (on both dx12 and vulkan, high graphic settings)
didnt change any other settings since last post, so it was the game

cpu runs at 60%, gpu at 30%

Try Vulkan instead dx12. Dx12 doing a lot of micro stutters.

Disable win 11 - gpu accelerated schedule and variable refresh rate.

These two options fixed my problems.


I used to play Dx12 on POE1 which was better performance but dx12 for poe2 to me is broken atm.

Also if you are nvidia user , low latency mode / reflex causing stutters.
