Sekhema trials are UNPLAYABLE on gamepad
when you encounter time run room with crystals you just 99% dead beacuse when you run to the crystal and monsters spawn near it making you CANT ACTIVATE CRYSTAL with A button because you just cant focus on crystal even with manualy refocusing with right stick - died 2 times in a row with one attemept was in last room before boss!! - had you even tested this BS before release??
MAKE CRYSTAL AUTO ACTIVATION when you run close to them !! UPDATE - made 3 runs: 1st and 2nd run died because not activatable Crystal bs, on 3rd try game crushed in the middle of a run. game is litteraly unplayable at this moment. it is the same situation all over again as it was with PoE1 - where even now after decade of "game evolving" you still encounter untested gamebreaking bugs which broke whole game if you use gamepad as it is on unique dune map where you cant teleport on pillars with frostblink on gamepad just because how controls not tested for this situation. As much as i hate sanctum bs, I have to say - never had this issue with crystals, it's the easiest room for me and auto win.
I have no other action on A besides item interaction, may be that's what makes it work regardless. I also can pick up items mid fight in the pack of mobs. So i suggest you try leaving A solely for interaction and see if it helps. PS. F*ck Sanctum |

Totally agree, I feel your pain, I was SO MAD, it happened to me more than a dozen times! It's super annoying
The worst part of it - gamepad (IMHO) is much better for the rest gameplay, and I just can't use keyboard and mouse any more. Especially after I bound main skill to RT and now I can change focus easier. GGG you must definitely give users opportunity to re-bind buttons Make action and attack on the same button is a BAD idea and example of bad gameplay design, for sure. I wish you'll fix it |

You need to remove skill from interaction button, then it'll target the crystal. It's dumb, yeah.

As somebody else said, make interact it's on dedicated button. I have mine on Triangle (y for xbox).

" The actually infuriating feature implementation here is that they decided to deactivate Mouse & Keyboard when gamepad mode is active, and vice versa. I had 17 seconds left & couldn't click this damn crystal with any input device. At times it feels like this game is deliberately trying to induce rage in players, at least I can not come up with an alternative reason for some of these ridiculously lazy & braindead features. My workaround: Bind interaction to "L2 & A" in the second skill bar - if only for the trials. Don't even try to select the crystal with the right stick, that's just more ragebait by the devs. After the trials just bind interaction back to the A button. |

" Since the beginning I have made Trigger + A my interaction button, this allows me to loot mid fight and frees up my A for something else. The problem in trials when using a controller is really twofold though. Why is my mouse interaction with the inventory turned off when i'm using a controller? Controller is great for everything BUT inventory, what the hell? This is the only ARPG that I can't use both. Y key is bound to "Drop" and not "Quick move" when interacting with the trial stash, so it takes minutes longer to stash my inventory during a trial. On top of how difficult 4th trial is, it makes me want to completely skip it. Sometimes I feel like GGG punishes people that use a controller. |
