Starting Game Crashes Computer
When I start POE 2, both from standalone and from Steam, my CPU usage jolts to 100% and my computer crashes. The game screen loads, I see the spinning wheels, and right as the animation starts, my computer shuts off.
I see reports of the game freezing the computer completely, but not crashing the computer. Any help would be great. It's hard to tell. If your computer just completely turns off, it could be the power supply. Their power output tends to degrade over time, so you usually spec them a few hundred watts higher than what you need. At least that's what I read a while ago, maybe I misremember. If it only happens for this game, then that's not it right. You can run a benchmarking utility that maxes out your CPU, too, to see if the power off happens then, too.
Maybe it could also be your RAM? Faulty RAM does weird things to PCs. I was getting blue screens of death every few days when I had a faulty kit of RAM. If that happens to you too, you can flash memtest86 to a USB stick and boot your PC to it to do a memory test. |

" Yeah, this issue is only happening with POE 2. I can start and run any other game on my PC just fine. |
