Issues creating an additional character POE2

I purchased early access on PS5, and I already created one class of character, and i have not been able to create an additional one since. The errors are always like, the name is too short, name is taken, operation is unavailable, etc.

I have friends who play console with me and are able to create other characters, but I cannot.

You have to pick a name that isn't taken. Literally what the error says. If your name you chose is bananaboy123, try bananaboy1234. If you add any punctuation, it changes it to an underscore.
