Disconnecting and losing map portals

EDIT: Meant to post this in POE2 forum, please disregard, I don't know how to delete this thread :(

I've heard from other folks that if they disconnect, they do not lose all their map portals. For some reason, I lose them all, and I am disconnecting about 1 out of every 5 maps. It's quite demoralizing and makes me no longer want to play.

Not sure what other info to provide other than that it happens randomly and I'm on US Texas server. My internet is stable and fine.
