How to trade?
I'm old and highly regarded, apparently, but I can't figure out how to trade. I've hit the "whisper" button and contacted probably 50 different people to buy things. I can see the PM it sends them in game.
However, nobody has ever replied to me. Am I doing something wrong? do you normally just spam everyone selling something you want and hope somebody replies? Last bumped on Dec 19, 2024, 12:25:43 PM

Sadly if you listens players and devs "spam everyone selling something you want and hope someone replies" is the best trade system ever and auction house is the worst.

" Sadly, yes. But, why sadly? it IS mentioned exact like that by devs. So feel free to spam everyone around: * Send requests to item's owner every several seconds, till he answer. * Send several requests (dozens, actually) to different sellers (if their items are ok for you too) at once and then accept invite from the 1st who throw party invite at you. Ofc, don't even bother to say something to others, who might would also answer, but a bit later - next time they would be faster! That's how tradiong is mentioned and going in the POE (1&2) Auctioneer House - is a MUST! 'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313 Last edited by SilverWF#6383 on Dec 18, 2024, 5:40:03 AM

That... is a bad system.
It would take almost no work at all to modify the website where if they list the exact price, instead of whisper let me just click the button and buy it right then and there. Wouldn't that make everyone happier? Don't even need to make an auction house... can just use existing infrastructure to do it. Last edited by OpenSourcerer55#8680 on Dec 18, 2024, 11:46:16 AM

" "Wouldn't that make everyone happier?" Normal players - yes But all scums, like price fixers and price checkers would not, and since GGG supports them (no punishing = support), so it would never be changed. Auctioneer House - is a MUST!

I think the idea is that you should make your own gear, that's why there's a simple currency exchange ingame that works and not a gear one
This makes it so you only bother trading when you need something uber specific instead of trading when you find a ring with a 5% better roll than yours |
