Citadel Map Failed - What to do next?

What are you supposed to do if you fail a map run on a citadel tile? Do I just continue through the atlas until I find another Citadel?

I having exactly the same problem. I guess there must be multiple citadels as the map being so massive that no one would ever find em all. Ill keep on lurking if someone comes up with answer on this.

I did failed iron citadel once.
Then I did found another one. Failed again :D So I'm sure there's unlimited number of citadels like atlas is unlimited, don't worry |

is there a secret to find new ones faster or should you just go blind into the fog and hope?

" The latest patch added a vertical beam to citadels that can be seen through the fog. So basically just unlock towers and look for these beams. Should be much easier to find them now. Just as fyi if you are close to the starting zone. There is a small radius around the starting point of the atlas where no citadels can spawn. Outside of that small area they will just be generated randomly. |

I failed one iron citadel, but atlas won't let me try another iron citadel in a different location

you'll eventually find citadels all over the place.
even if you kill the boss successfully, sometimes there are bugs where you'll be forced to "fail" it anyway. don't worry about it and just move on |
