Because my herald of thunder move costs 40 spirits instead of 30... it suddenly changed and now I don't know how to use it since I only have 30 spirits... can anyone tell me why

Could you please remove any support gems you have equipped to Herald of Thunder, and let us know if this helps?

Same thing happening to me.
After I put out the gem, it came back to 30 spirit. After I activate my herald of thunder and wind dancer, then socket a gem to one of them, the spirit bugged. Both skill activated and still have spirit left. |

Just for some extra clarity, what support gems are socketed? Because I'd bet that you overlooked the line on some supports that says "extra spirit reservation".
