Totems are inconsistant on when they are or aren't allies

Testing with Shockwave Totem and a Stoic Sceptre base.

Mods like "Allies in your Presence" (tested with "have +X% to all Elemental Resistances" as well as adds cold to attacks) don't seem to have an impact. The elemental resistance changes don't show up in the skill description when the totem is summoned. It has 20% base res for me right now, taking nodes on the tree impacts this, equipping a sceptre with +res to allies does not. Similarly, I can see a minion like skeletal warriors increase freeze buildup with cold added to attacks, but totems don't.

If that's intended, that's one thing. However, an aura like Discipline (from a stoic sceptre base) DO work on totems. With it equipped, totem has ES. Take it off, they lose ES.

Both the aura skill and sceptre modifiers use "Allies in your Presence", but one works and the other doesn't for totems. I assume either both should, or shouldn't work but I don't know which is intended.

I would love to know which is intended, even if a fix isn't coming soon. Thanks!

Exact same thing happened on me. "Allies ... Have #% Increased Attack Speed" does not work on Totems. Is this a bug or intended??

+ 1 to this post.

same question, just want clarifications for now so that I can plan properly and not spend needlessly on things that wouldn't benefit my intended build...
Yeah, same thing here. I can give my totems ES but not more damage. Since it even says that totems are "allied" in the skill tree, this seems to be a pretty big bug concerning Totems.
I hope they can give an answer on this even before it is fixed. that way we are able to know if it is even a bug or not...
Bumping after the holidays for visibility.

In game definition of totems:
"Totems are allied constructs..."

Scrolling over the word "allied" on the totem definition gives you the "Ally" definition.

+1 for visibility. Bug report reference number 2831302100.

Have been running with sceptre offhand for a week and decided to check if "Allies in your presence have #% Increased Attack Speed" actually worked. Turns out it doesn't.

Presumably this also means Mass Hysteria "Allies in your presence have 6% increased attack speed" notable also doesn't work (which makes the whole wheel a bit trash tbh).

Since the Discipline sceptre works, all the "Allies in your presence" mods should work on totems. Especially when the totem tooltip specifies that they are allies.

Hopefully this can be a quick fix.

This is still a thing as of 0.2.

Still not sure if the Discipline aura working or the other affix not is the bug. Even if not fixed, a clarification would be nice.
