Patch 0.1.0e Crash Notes
Still crashing on loading screens after this patch.
Again my system specs are: Windows 11 RTX 4060 ti B-550 Motherboard with AMD 5600x CPU Running the game through Steam (only option for now on PC, I guess?) For anyone else crashing often like me, I suggest setting core affinity in the task manager: Open Task Manager -> Select Detailed view -> right click on PathOfExileSteam.exe -> define affinity -> deselect one or two cores. I've been doing this every time I start the game, so that when it crashes I can close it without having to do a hard reset. Edit: I'm actually crashing much more often on patch 0.1.0e than before. The game has become unplayable. Last edited by Huginn#2767 on Dec 17, 2024, 8:23:13 PM Last bumped on Dec 23, 2024, 12:14:34 PM

Since yesterday I haven't had crashes. I changed an option under advanced power management to put maximum cpu overload to 90%, where it used to be at 100%.
In English, it should be stated as 'processor power management' > 'maximum performance' > 90% |

" I can now confirm that this solution worked for me, as I've had zero crashes in the last few days. |

" Wow, this seems to have done the trick, Had to disable Process Lasso as that seems to override this setting, but once i did smooth sailing, fingers crossed. |

Just wanted to add the game seems randomly unplayable for me as well. Just created a sorc and I cannot enter the town, because every time I try, the whole computer(!) freezes. I cannot even open the Task Manager and kill the game lmao. I literally need to hard reset through a button.
It has gone so bad, I cannot even start up the game... :c Last edited by Ashrasmun#6722 on Dec 22, 2024, 2:50:04 AM

Actually, crashes still happen, but infrequently now.
