Changing WASD movement keys to number pad keys on full-size keyboard problems

This one is weird. Being a lefty I redefined the movement keys on my full size keyboard as follows:

Left - Numpad 1
Move Up - Numpad 5
Move Down - Numpad 2
Right - Numpad 3
Dodge Roll - Numpad 0

However when I quit the game and restart a new character WASD with my input keys changed doesn't work and the game tells me to use WASD to move at the bottom of the screen.

So, I go to the options panel and tab input and see the movement keys like I had them defined above but when I purposely redefine them to same number pad keys I get the following misinterpreted key inputs:

Left - becomes the END key even though I select the Numpad 1
Move Up - stays Numpad 5
Move Down - becomes the DOWN ARROW KEY even though I selected Numpad 2
Right - becomes the Page Down key even though I selected Numpad 3
Dodge Roll- becomes Insert key even though I selected Numpad 0

After which my character just turns around following the mouse but doesn't move unless I use the misinterpreted keys just above which is wrong.
I should mention I'm using the same keyboard with other games and have had none of the issues with key binds in those games.

Also is there a reason why "Strafe Left" and "Strafe Right" keys are not available?

Okay this gets even weirder. When I redefine the movement keys to the arrow keys and play awhile then I am able to redefine the keys back to the number pad keys and they work. However, if I quit the game and then restart it the number pad keys do not work and I repeat the above process to get them to work.

It also seems during gameplay my number pad key binds get dropped and my character starts moving toward the top of the screen no matter what keys I push.

Finding more issues with how key binds are assigned with WASD. Apparently, if you assign the relevant arrow keys reflecting the direction of movement that the equivalent number pad keys are assigned as well. This indicates that POE2 WASD key binding assignments are either not using the full hex values of keyboard keys or some masking is going on when they are assigned.

If I assign arrow keys for movement for WASD the following also happens.

Left arrow is also interpreted as number pad key 4
up arrow is also interpreted as number pad key 8
right arrow is also interpreted as number pad key 6
down arrow key is also interpreted as number pad key 2

Please GG fix this issue for lefties.

Just found another issue with WASD key bind assignments. Apparently you can double bind a movement key with the dodge roll key.

For example I was able to assign the down arrow key to both movement down and dodge roll.
