Fate Items, Trial Of Chaos (Cruel)

Hi!

I've just obtained the three fates to open the door to the trialmaster, so my question is simple: What would the implications of dying or disconnecting be? Do I redo the trial and the Fate items remain (the door is open) or do I have to re-obtain the items again to open the door on the next attempt?
