"no energy shield" in trials drops honor immediately

I'm not sure if this is a bug or working as intended but I thought the energy shield removal in the trials would just cease my energy shield from existing. I did not account for (nor did it warn me) that I'd be dropping to almost 0 honor because of this. I had 1500+ honor with a 3000 cap and immediately went to 58 honor. I'm not sure how that math works out if I was at half and dropped to almost 0 instantly.

The same happened to me, my honor dropped to 0 when getting my shield removed.
I was at 0, the trial didnt end, managed to not get hit on that stage and healed my honor, this was right before the last boss and I lost bc of this, sad.

Hopefully they address this, at least give a warning or explain very clearly how honor is gained, weather its through increased HP or ES
