Mobs can Explode your minions with Sacrifice + more
Sacrifice reads:
"While active, your undead Reviving Minions can be used in place of Corpses by your skills, but your Minions Revive more slowly." With the blue text reading: "Skills can use your undead Reviving Minions in place of Corpses" There are priest mobs / mosquitos and some chaos mob that uses corpse explosion on YOUR minions, blowing them up. Without Sacrifice, this does not occur. Additionally the Corpsewade boots of party members will brick your build as they also blow up your corpses. Can we get clarification on this as to if this is intended or not? Hopefully it's "not intended" and a fix can be rolled out after the holidays? Happy Holidays! I can confirm this, a mob called Faridun Plaguebringer can do that, some other mob did that too, I guess any mob capable of exploding corpses can do that. Certanly a bug, description says that undead reviving minions can be used in place of coprses by YOUR skills.

I've noticed this too.
It's mostly fun except when a rare boss does it to all minions at the same time. The Faridun Plaguebringer and his locusts turn my brutes into huge glowing red dudes that go BOOM! These mobs can be found in the Hive map. There is also the Cultist Witch that transform brutes into giant purple blobs and BOOM! Nasty indeed. The cultists are found in Augury, among other maps? If/when the Sacrifice aura is fixed then I would actually not mind these mobs from continue using my minions. Dangerous is fun! Bring back helmet enchants!

Confirming this. Just rerolled into a detonate dead build with sacrifice only to have my party rained upon by a single rare mob that has the "Explodes nearby corpses" modifier. Now all my minions are being considered "corpses" and being blown up by the rare mob.
Toggled off sacrifice just to make sure, and they're no longer being exploded by the mob. Would love to know if this is intended. If so time to make a new build! Last edited by Aigachu#4545 on Jan 8, 2025, 2:21:18 AM

I'm running into the same behavior which doesn't seem to be intended since the skill text says:
" Note "by your skills" leading me to believe this is a bug. If this is intended, could you please update the skill description to clarify things? Thank you for creating such an amazing game! |
