Gearing expectations (when mapping)

So I have run nearly 100 maps from first T1 map to now I am running the T10 maps as I try to get the atlas passives. In all the maps I have run, I have not gotten a single drop that I ended up using. I will get a blue with a nice prefix, slam another rare skill and then convert it to rare and it ends up being unusable garbage.

All of my current gear came from doing ascendancy trials while farming honor relics. Mapping has been entirely fruitless.

Is this the endgame?
Does it suddenly get better at T12+ maps? I mean, this is awful...and the T10 and T11 maps are rough with mid-ass gear.

Should have mentioned, I always make my maps blue and yellow and have tablets in my towers (which I added affixes to as well).
