Witch - I realized we don't have a chaos ascendancy or minion ascendancy. Do you think it's coming?

POE 1 player here.

I was digging through the ascendencies and realized monk is the only one that has a chaos ascendancy.

Occultist was a popular ascendancy in POE1, as was necromancer.

However with witch already having two ascendancy classes, that only leaves room for one.

Do you think they will give us one or both of those, or a whole new ascendancy class?

Personally, I think you can label the third class as occultist, but Make it a combo ascendancy from POE1 where it has both chaos trees and necromancer trees.

And as an occultist to keep with the theme, maybe for the minions side of things it involves converting million damage into chaos damage and some interesting mechanics with that.

What are you guys think?

I recall hearing that the minion nodes in Infernalist are the most an Ascendency is going to get, at least on the Witch, so I have little doubt that the third one will be a new version of Occultist.

You may notice that the minion nodes in Infernalist offer very little raw power, but this is a good thing from a design perspective. Minions can be powerful even when you are NOT playing an Infernalist as a result, whereas until they removed a lot of power from the Necromancer ascendency in PoE1 they repeatedly nerfed the minion skills themselves to keep Necromancers from becoming too strong.
