Moving from Xbox to PC
Hello there,
Path of Exile 2 is finally the game that's compelling me to switch from Xbox to a PC. The performance on Xbox is just awful. The campaign was somewhat manageable, but once I entered the Atlas, the experience deteriorated significantly, and aiming with the right stick is dreadful. Anyway, I want to move to a PC to play this game, and I have two questions, if I may. Firstly, will I have to start a new character, or can I log in to my Xbox account and continue from where I left off on Xbox? Secondly, will the PC listed below be suitable for running Path of Exile 2 at 1440p with a very stable 120 fps? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/refract-gaming-azure-1440p-pre-built-gaming-pc-fs-1dp-ep.html Thank you in advance. I bought game on Xbox. Yesterday I did give it a try with GeforceNow.
Just use regular PoE client for PC (from the website) and log-in with your email and password. After that, on character selection screen you will see a dropdown list at the top where you can switch profiles - your xbox characters will be there with all microtransactions, so there is literally nothing to do to just switch platform. And I also strongly agree that Xbox client is in absolute horrific state compared to pc version. Game looks like trash, lots of visual bugs and glitches, stutters/freezes/lagging or just any random shit happening randomly, and just the graphics themselves - it looks absolutely awful on Series X. PC version even through streaming service with GeforceNow looks like a completely different game. I don't understand how did they mess-up console client so much. And if you buy a supporter pack with a key - it will give you separate key for Steam client too. And there you can also just select your xbox profile from drop-down on character selection screen. |

Mate, I love the game, but the state of it on the Xbox is no joke. The worst part for me was the three-part Ascendancy trials, especially the survival segments. Small spaces with so many monsters—the frame rate dropped below 20, and at one point, the game even stopped momentarily.
It’s clear that the Xbox version, in its current state, is probably just a port of the PC version. I’m sure it will improve over time, but I want to enjoy the game now. It’s great to hear that I can continue my progress on the PC. That was the last piece I needed to make the switch. I’m clueless when it comes to the PC master race, but maybe it’s not as scary as it seems! |

And the best part about it - you just connect your Xbox controller to PC, switch input in game settings, and you continue playing as if nothing has ever changed. After getting kind of used to controller - it feels very weird to play it with keyboard and mouse lol.

I am actually going to make the full switch, including m and k. I do not like how the aiming on the right stick feels in this game.
