Demon Form is a really cool concept, but SUCKS

Demon Form needs a big rebalance, it honestly seems to nerf me when used. because your weapon stats are ignored you can easily lose levels on your spells (wow so cool), and if you max to 10 demon flame, you'll most likely have a net loss in spell increase bonuses(even cooler). the only bonus seems to be the dash, and everything else is just a nerf. GGG please fix.

I personally love it, it has superior movement, infinite damange scaling if you can do life regen, so I'm able to stack up about 120+ demonflame, wich means more than 1700% increased spell dmg.

You do need a different build to use it tho, thats true, it doesn't work as a buff to any existing build, hard to synergise because of the no weapon thing, I completely understand why its pretty off meta rn, but I do think its still pretty viable, if not strong with the right equipment.

I think the various Demonform caster builds are solidly B tier builds atm. We actually have quite good damage, but it has to ramp up and our survival is playable but very poor relative to the nonsense Stormweavers are up to.

If you want some build details see my thread https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3620019. I also just put a vid in of me clearing a T15 and I'm reasonably sure it doesn't suck :p

Demonform also 'sucks' in the sense that if you take it without a very specific plan and gearset prepared, then yeah it sucks. So first impressions for a lot of people are going to be negative. IDK how I feel about that, I think it's hard to make unique/interesting things which are also generically good when a new player selects them. If I had to choose between some generic but weak damage buff a new player could just pick and play, vs something unique and interesting but difficult to use, I'm going to want the 2nd thing for sure.

Yeah I agree with this, it is not an insane S tier meta build, but its pretty solid. I run a hexblast build, I'm only on T12, but it clears the map easilly, if I'm in the 15-100 demonflame range.
You do need a very specific skilltree and very specific items, but nothing too expensive.
Crashes for many players, so it's unusable.

"Early Access" should really be called "Late Testing", as GGG obviously didn't test many things properly.
the bad thing is, the reserve life ascendancy points are useless, so u can't down hp from there (u jus lose demonflame stacks putting on it) so u cant take another big points and that's it. But its pretty fun, probably the high speed character, im having boss damage problems even with 5links and conc effect, and i'm aiming for 300 regen sec (217atm) and idk where ill get this.

I only managed to get up to about 160 regen with 250 life and with that, I can comfortably get up to 150 demonflame, how did you manage 200+ life regen?

I'm thinking there is two 20% increased life regen rate passive skill nodes, one of wich I can get in the passive tree, and the other, could be acquired with delirium, those would give a good 20% +20% while moving boost.

Haven't done pinnacle bosses, but a T16 irradiated boss melts with even 150 demonflame stacks for me, so haven't experienced any dmg problems, if you are wiiling to wait for the stack counter to go up.

There small 10% regen rate nodes on the tree, and with 15% regen rate jewels and well-rolled amulet, helmet, boots and belt you can have 300-350 regen. With corrupted reduced maximum health mods on Ming's and Ghostwrithe and no max health on rare gear and bare minimum Strength you can have close to 200hp, and degen only 1hp per stack. So 300 stacks until degen overcomes the regen.

As for pinnacle bosses, you'd need at least 200 stacks to kill them comfortably on +3/+4. Arbiter of Ash has very "fun" mechanic which blocks all life regen, so you in 1 second get kicked out of Demonform and have to start all over again. But with enough DPS you'll skip all his mechanics.
