Unlink from steam account

I would like to unlink this account from my Steam account. I wrote the support like 2 weeks ago and i know they're understaffed and responses are delayed, but this is such a simple matter...

Why can't I unlink it myself? Why is there a need for the support to do it? I kinda guess it has to do with account securtiy, in case it get's "stolen" but that's what we have 2FA for.

If some support memeber reads this, I would appreciate it very much if you could help out with this simple matter.

I don't know why they dont just say their turnaround time is about 3 to 4 weeks behind. Just had this same issue responded to yesterday (12/28) after waiting since 12/6.


And yeah, dumb that you can't just self service this.

I got an answer per mail, requesting Information I already provided during my initial mail, like Accountname with "#" number behind it.

Now I gave it to them AGAIN and waiting AGAIN a week without a reply. If every reply back and forth takes 3-4 weeks...

This is a very bad system and they really should work on changing the whole "unlink" account topic not only for the players sake but also to lighten the load on the support staff.

Exact same situation. They asked for the information that was literally in the email they responded to. Took nearly a month for the first reply as well, nothing since. I just did a charge back on my credit card. It's unacceptable that it takes over a month to handle anything. If they are back logged that much, they need to hire/add more people to the team... it's not like they don't have millions from all these support packs being purchased.
