Help getting a really high strength?
I have a titan with giants blood that has focused on getting his strength really high. I got all the bigger strength boosts near Warrior start, mostly on the way to giants blood. That being said my strength even with bonuses on equipment isn't nearly high enough to reach the 3x strength requirement of high level 2 handed maces.
Giants maul needs 450 or so strength. I don't currently see a way to get that. I also think I should switch to gemling even if I can get anywhere near there, since i'll get double health from strength that way (which should be significantly more of a bonus than 15% from titan). Getting the ability to use strength for all the gems reqs as well, along with getting to use 2 of the same support gem on different skills looks like a much better deal, and merc is right there next to Warrior and Giants blood is between them. But that leads to the question, how the heck do I get enough strength to make that worth it? Anyway know of some nodes i'm missing on the tree, or specific equipment that drastically boosts max strength or something? I can get around 200-250 strength right now....maaaybe stretch that a bit more if I know out other things and pick up more strength nodes but....they are just basic strength nodes at this point, I got all the big ones like the 25 strength nodes, the 8 strength nodes, the 12 strength nodes that drop max mana (I didn't take the keystone though cause it's not worth the loss even with 200+ strength, it's only 20% or so increased damage for a large loss in max mana). There has to be a way i'm guessing, but I just don't see it right now. I could give up giants blood I guess, but I love being able to use a 2 handed mace + a shield. Currently using a not as high 73 base I think it was strength requirement hammer because ain't no way I can handle the 148 strength requirement ones sigh. It's enough of a difference at this point that giving up giants blood seems worth it just for the huge damage boost....which blows. Last bumped on Dec 20, 2024, 11:55:00 PM

Getting high str rolls on every piece of gear on top of the other stats you need, its going to be very expensive and/or a time consuming endeavor on the trade site.
+to all attrubutes and str rolls on jewelry. Not going to be easy/cheap to find this stuff and get res capped etc. As well. Reduced attribute rolls on the weapons can help tremendously as well. Last edited by BossOfThisGym#2062 on Dec 20, 2024, 8:01:10 PM

The attribute cluster at the bottom offers both +10% to all and 12% reduced requirements.
Other than that, it's probably about other items. Sure, you could hope for an Astramentis, but I wouldn't plan around that. Zaanus:

I just found astra ammy (not in game, on the web lol), and yeah that could boost my str over 100 points....still don't think I could get to 450 just with that.
There is armor that can boost total str by 20% but it disables life regen, so screw that lol. I did look at those nodes, but it's so many of them for the bonus 10% boosted stats (str only that matters) and +3 to all stats (4 nodes), so +12 to all stats, but again str is the only one that is going to matter. Then over 3 more nodes 12% reduced requirements. With the gemling ascension tree I would get 6% increase to all attributes and another 8% reduced reqs (Bringing it up to 20% less. That MIGHT make it to 450 if I got great rolls on eq and str on everything and the astro ammy with +100 strength. Say I somehow get 300 strength from eq/nodes etc before ammy. That brings me to 400 and then I get 16% more strength from the 10% node and the 2 3% in my ascension. That boosts me up to enough right there I think even before the reduced reqs. Hmmm looking at it, that is probably the solution right there. 450 base reqs for the biggest hammer. Get 20% reduction on that from those nodes in tree and 2 nodes in ascension, drops the 450 req to only 390 total strength needed. Might even theoretically be able to do that with a different amulet that still added strength along with strength on my other equipment. Yep, looking at it, I can just about reach 300 base strength on the tree, with 16% more strength .....that would bring me up to 348 strength, and with 20% reduction of 450.....that drops me down to only 390....so I would in theory only need 60 strength total on equipment which is totally doable without astro...woot!! Does use up soooo many nodes for strength and getting around, but on the tree it says 80 points total to get everything I need for that along with rage generation (and max rage) and some damage nodes (and mace bonuses for aftershock etc). Still leaves me points to play around with (don't have any extra block nodes though, and very few regen nodes, which is silly not to have with so much max health/strength and double strength effects on max health (so 4hp per strength point instead of 2). Astro might STILL be the best to be honest just because of how much health you get for 100 strength, and that could save me the lower requirement nodes (and with astro I might not need that whole area at all, which is outa the way a bit. Oh well, at least I have figured out a way to make it work!! |

Astro is expensive as fuck and not required.
Im running same titan buddy as you are right now. Lvl 80 and 590+ str. Here's what i have: - all selecting nodes for str; - amu with str base and str stat; - 20-30+ str on every piece of equipment except boots (they will soon be with str too) - 2 ascendancies on +4% - nodes Brutal, Titanic, Blade Catcher - clusters Beef, Unbending, Brute strength - ! Ascendancy node for +50% on small passives (Hulking form) Good luck, cos latest two hand mace bases require 212 strength:) |

Omg wow!! That is awesome, but ugh 212....that means 636 strength.....ugh. Hopefully the diff isn't THAT big over the one I was aiming for.
I do really like being able to use a shield with my 2 handed mace, but wow that is alot of work to make it pay off. |

Also I wasn't sure if the small passive buff would con't for normal strength nodes. I figured it would for the +8 strength and +12 strength nodes, but yeah if it boosts all the strength nodes that combined with the 15% more life would give me about the same bonus health as the double stat effects from merc.
That means I don't have to remake my character which is awesome:) Thanks. |

636 str is possible,
But you can do As I did and get a Reduced Attribute Requirement on the Mace. So a mace that requires 212 str normally with a 30% reduced Attribute Requirement makes the 212 str requirement only 148. 148 x 3 is 444. So only needing 444, I have three items with 33 str, yep only 3. My tree with the 4 of the 5 Beef Wheel, Brutal, Unbending, Brute strength and the Ascendancy Hulking Form, I have 445 str. I didnt take Titanic(yet), and I didnt stretch completely across the tree For Polymathy or the three Reduced Att nodes. Point is, if you get say 33 str on every item, including your weapon, 33x10 is 330 and what you can get on the skill tree, 636 is possible. Last edited by Krin_#1038 on Dec 21, 2024, 12:15:49 AM
