Can't switch sub accounts on consoles
Following the introduction of sub-accounts, a major issue has popped up on the console side. Simply - unlike the PC version, there is no way to switch sub-accounts prior to creating a character in neither PoE1 nor PoE2 on consoles. As a result, if you accidentally switch to a sub-account you /must/ create a character on that platform and that sub-account. That is the only way to get to the character select screen (which lets you switch sub-accounts), as without a character, the console version forces you into the Create a New Character dialogue (without an option as to what sub-account that character is being created on)
The end result is that in order to switch back to the sub-account you want to be using, you need to create a trash character on other sub accounts (even if you never plan on using them) just to get the functionality of switching sub-accounts back. This has cascading issues down the line, including PoE2. Having just bought it on PS5 and made a new character, the game automatically defaulted to a sub-account of its own choosing and /not/ my main sub-account. There was no way to actually choose a different sub-account prior to making a new character for the first time in PoE2. Nor was there any indication of what sub-account was being used. Just like PoE1, the ability to switch sub-accounts is only available when at least one character is present on any given sub account. Long story short, PoE2 upon first boot logged me into the wrong sub-account. Proceeded to automatically redeem things on this sub-account and now I am stuck at a point where I: 1) have to have multiple trash characters just to gain access to the menu that lets you switch sub-accounts and 2) have cosmetics and coins redeemed to the wrong sub account, because the game didnt let me choose any other.
