POE2 - energy shield is permanently at 0 after first ascedence test in AKT2

POE2 - energy shield is permanently at 0 after first ascedence test in AKT2.

I have both fixed additional values and percentage values for energy shield on my items. Even if all items are removed and put back on, the shield value remains at 0.

Is there a trick to reactivate this?

Update:

At the same time as the test, I equipped a legendary helmet that has Eldritch Battery as its last stat. In German, the translation is: "Unheimlicher Transformator" and on the PS5 I can't see any information about this stat.
