Cruel Act 2: Path to ascendency quest bug plz fix

So admittedly I was not thinking too clearly when this happened. But the user shouldn't be able to do what I did.


After beating balbaba and getting the djiin token for the trial I went straight to the ascendancy trial, because it was on the map from act2. What the game wants you to do is get the trial token and talk to an NPC at the caravan and THEN go to the trial. By skipping the NPC dialogue step I messed with the quest line.

The problem now- is that I used the token in the trial and it did not progress the quest. I tried to retrigger this quest by going and beat balbaba again but it did not drop the djinn item I fear I am stuck.

I guess I'm asking for two things.

1. In cruel mode disable fast travel to the trial until it is unlocked via beating balbaba

2. help me lol

If anyone has any tips for this plz let me know thanks!
