Arrow Piercing for Rangers is Broken
Arrow Piercing for Rangers is Broken, and probably for crossbows too.
I do not know if it is an intended effect, but when you finally get Arrow Piercing a target to hit more than one target its effects only hit on the last target or wall the arrow hits. For example the "Pierce the Heart" Skill on the tree in the bow skills on the bottom right of the skill tree says: "Arrows Pierce an additional target." The "Stormcaller Arrow" skill for the Ranger is excellent for taking down single targets like bosses. However, there's a significant drawback: when the arrow pierces an enemy, the lightning bolt strikes where the arrow lands (which is in a wall behind the target, and it hardly does anything at all to the intended target). Effectively making a single target skill useless on single targets. As a bow lover, and a lightening lover i find this unacceptable and it breaks my gameplay mechanics. Skills should have an option to set them to "NOT PENETRATE" or those skills it would normally effect should not be able to penetrate. I argue however since the explanation video clearly says that "A short time after a stormcaller arrow hits a target, A bolt of lightening hits the target with a high change to shock." An arrow hits a target it passes through, it should have the same effect on all the enemies it hits. Even if its slightly less damage for each target hit after the first. (Which would be ideal to keep the skill from being overpowered.) However if this is intended effect it should clearly be labeled and set up so the skill can not penetrate. Its too easy for an archer to under draw a bow so that it wont pierce a target, its logical to me they should be able to pick what pierces and what doesnt. Last bumped on Dec 21, 2024, 8:38:01 PM
