Warrior feels pathetic
Just want to throw another quarter in the jar on this subject. Total casual. Haven't even finished the main campaign. Going from Mercenary to Warrior is night and day. The latter feels like a feeble cripple. Legitimately baffled how this got past play-testing because the class feels so conceptually wrong and half-baked. Even if I have every bonus I can to stun the RNG on unique enemies is so janky I can often just slowly chip them to death with auto attacks before they are stunned even once. Meanwhile mobs die in one or two hits so stunning them is a waste and waiting for the broken-ground AOE is a waste for the same reason.
I am all glass, no canon. As Mercenary I can stand in one place and face-tank damage yet take less damage from most mobs. Or I can kit and take literally zero damage. As warrior I must go into close combat and my health is constantly yo-yoing and I have to eat one or more potions per fight to not pop like a pimple. I've tried twice as warrior. Because I really am drawn to the classic front-liner archetype, but this gameplay is so unbalance it's legitimately repulsive. I feel comparatively disabled. Weak. Pathetic. Sad. Depressing. Don't tell me it gets better after fifty hours. Last bumped on Dec 22, 2024, 4:27:40 AM

seems like you're complaining about your skill issue and also what sounds like a dog doo doo build issue. warrior is great and crushes.

If you need help with warrior message me in game. Hardgochu is my name. Level 75 and I’ve blasted every single content so far even ascendancy number 3. I’ll help you with gearing and some specs.
Warrior is a very strong class, just not as easy as ranged classes |

Talking about 'skill issue,' in a point-and-click zero mechanics ARPG like this is the pinnacle of cringe. Please sit down for the love of god and stop embarrassing yourselves.
Classes should be intuitive, and a variety of builds should be viable enough prior to end-game that you don't feel sad and weak unless you're cleaving to some narrow, specific niche. If a class demands a particular line of skills and equipment to not play like trash prior to end-game content while everyone else can wing it and play fine then it is weak by definition. As said I leave my penny in the jar for the Devs since this is early access, and now I continue playing as mercenary. |
