Movement speed stat on boots is mandatory (and it feels horrible)
One of the many problems I am running into with gear is movement speed on boots are the only stat I care about on boots and it feels bad. I can have godly rolls on boots but if it doesn't have movement speed it's trash. A couple of solutions I think would be:
1. Each Boot base should have a base movement speed modifier baked into the stats of the boot. Having it range from 1.03 to 1.06 base movement speed for like Str and Int classes and for Dex classes have 1.06 to 1.10 BASE then nerf the modifier you can roll down to 3%-15% and put other sources maybe on the dex side of the tree or buff existing ones so dex classes can still have that speed to them if you INVEST (being the key word here) into it if you want. Side note: I believe this will help with balancing bosses and endgame as well. 2. Add dodge roll distance to the pool of mods but don't scale the metre value so high that it becomes mandatory. This mod should also not come in until lvl 40ish I think but that's for you to balance and figure out. All and all what I am saying is: movement speed makes campaign feel WAY TO EASY and is MANDATORY in endgame (along with skill speed) which just make me feel like I am playing POE 1 again. We have POE 1 for gameplay like that and I don't think it should be the main way to play POE2 I will get hate for that but I don't care. I have POE 1 for that gameplay. " I think making movement speed an implicit or otherwise baked in is a good idea. But varying by class isn't. Everyone likes to zoom, so noone would be using int or str boots if dex ones provided highest movespeed. This IMO should be something that progresses with ilvl, with mods that add a little more on top. Last edited by Ankh_13#4218 on Dec 22, 2024, 11:39:13 AM
