SUGGESTION: Fluxstones

Fluxstones are the counterpart to Waystones. Rather that opening map nodes, Fluxstones "capture" a node's map mechanics (Boss, Expedition, etc).

As an example, a Fluxstone might carry the following modifiers:

- Captures up to 2 node mechanics
- Adds Breach

Conceivably, if a player uses that Fluxstone on a node with Delirium and Corruption, they might end up with a Fluxstone with Delirium, Corruption and Breach. Of course, they might get unlucky and end up with just Breach. Regardless of outcome, the original Atlas node is wiped clean. It's a gamble with considerable upside.

The player would then use their imprinted Fluxstone (alongside a Waystone) to transform (and enter) any empty Atlas node of their choosing.

I feel like it would add an extra level of depth to the Atlas, and alongside Precursor Tablets could be quite potent.

Cool idea. I like it.
Would allow people to take mechanics from a poor map layout (or a with a boss that they can't fight) and plop it down on a new map - like if you get breach on crypt. Could be fun.
Nah this is way to simple and good of a solution. Won't happen.

It sounds like combining blood filled vessels with sextants.

I think it's an interesting idea BUT, it already takes too much tedious time investment to set up towers and pathing.

Adding an extra layer of steps and rng to setting up one good map sounds counterproductive to the issue around map preparation in my opinion.

If they can streamline the process before this step i think this could be an interesting way to have flexibility in what layouts you run.

But there needs to be a core change before bandaid fixes in my opinion.

Also lets not forget how tedious and toxic bulk compasses market was when sextants were a thing. It was a giant leap of tedium to create a gap between 1% group players and the majority playerbase.

All I want is a waystone that creates a pathway to a unreachable map in the middle of lake holding my merchant hostage
Nice! This is strange because I had a very similar idea last night...

A way to "Copy & Paste" a map's league mechanic bonuses onto a layout I actually want to run...
