blackflame radiant grief and dark effigy

radiant grief with black flame should convert the damage of the ignite to chaos which in turn should cause the dark effigy totem to fire, this interaction does not work for some reason. the black flame effect does not seem to be showing on enemies ignited by radiant grief. either the totem doesn't see the chaos converted ignite as a chaos DoT or black flame isn't properly converting the ignite from radiant grief.
