Sticky Targeting/Attacking Items
There appears to be a bug where your target will "Stick", causing your character to continue attacking when you otherwise intend to run. The first method I discovered to force this issue was to to double click an item, but hold the left mouse button after the 2nd click. After picking up the item, I will begin attacking as if I had held the [Attack in place] key. The second is to, while moving, bring your mouse over a valid target and right click without letting go of the left mouse button. In both cases, your character will stop or slow down to attack when you would instead intend and expect to continue to run towards your cursor.
Perhaps the 2nd method isn't actually a bug, but this happens even if I let go of the left mouse and click again on empty terrain. Furthermore, this behavior persist even after dodge rolling and your character will attack in place once they get back up, which is also not expected behavior. If the latter example isn't a bug, I'd beg you to at least have the dodge clear any queued commands so you can immediately begin moving if you're holding the left mouse button at the end of it. Though I only have 2 days in this game as of this post, this is by far the biggest problem I have encountered and it is incredibly frustrating to die to a boss because my character stops moving to attack a wall. Unbinding skills from the left mouse button has genuinely made the game easier to play, and I feel like that's a strong sign something isn't working as intended. This hasn't been fixed yet, so I am posting my comment from another thread, with the same issue, hope it gets fixed. Happens even if you hover over items, which becomes ridiculous in maps. To be more specific: Character completely stops attacking when using attack on place(holding shift), using a skill, while my cursor is hovering an item, therefore if I am attacking monsters and randomly hover my cursor over an dropped item on the ground(item name), my character completely stops attacking. This happens with other non-enemy objects too as others mentioned. |
