No Points in My Account

My friend gifted me the early access of Path of Exile 2 Supporter Edition that is 30 USD (He says he bought it in 20 Euros). I didn't realize it should come with 300 points until one of my other friends bought it on steam. He said that he had 300 points the moment he opened the game. I still don't have 300 points in my account.

In reddit someone said that if you are gifted the game, they get the currency but you get the game. But it doesn't seem that way I think cause he says he doesn't have 300 points either in his account nor does he have my 300 points. He bought the Early Access from the PoE 2 site and gave me a code to redeem it on either Steam or Epic.
