Failed to connect to Instance

I have been playing fine for about 150 hours and now I cant join maps without being kicked back to the login screen with a popup that says *failed to connect to instance*.

Try changing your gateway to the next closest. The dropdown up in the top right. That fixed it for me.

Tried swapping gateways when it started didnt work along with just about every other fix I could find.

Same issue, cant even level a new character. It's been happening since 12/22 around 6PM EST.

Navigating the overworld map and about half of my mapping nodes kick me from the game when attempting to portal with the error "Failed to connect to instance." Mapping is somewhat unplayable because I can't navigate in a desired direction. I can enter some nodes/maps, but not others.
