I can’t gain any xp

New player here. I’m level 38 and in act 3. For whatever reason, as many enemies I kill, I’m not getting any exp. I’ve tried for 30 min killing enemies in the jungle and nothing. I reset the game and still continues. I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and same issue. I can’t find any solid answers. Someone at Reddit told me it might be a glitch and to post here. I did find something regarding death penalty but only related to PoE 1. Please help me
