Weapon swapping from bow->crossbow causing my character to be unable to act

When swapping from Bow skills to Crossbow skills, specifically from Tornado shot to trying to use Explosive Shot, my character sometimes bugs out, making it so that I'm unable to attack anymore.

He also starts walking extremely slowly. Equipping and unequipping the crossbow stops the animation, but keeps me from being able to attack.
