Completed Ominous Altars - didnt get the 30 Spirit

On my Lvl 34 Merc, looked up how to get spirit, saw I should have gotten 30 in Act 1 via the Ominous Altars quest. I have the quest completed but didnt get the spirit. I am not 100% sure but I think I may have died after killing the boss so maybe I didnt get to pick up the Green item to get the spirit.

Not sure if it is a bug but it shouldnt be possible to miss the reward.

I'd love to hear if there is a way to recover the missed spirt? I feel like i've bricked the character I've put all of my limited time into since launch.
