Logbook drop rate affected by rarity

I might be going crazy here. Ive been farming logbooks in my atlas most of the time quite consistent until i swapped to rarity on my gear.

i have done over 40 maps yesterday all with expedition on them, with 8/8 notes, double suffixes on the remnants, always picking logbook chance first, rolling logbook drop chance on my tablets and i have seen exactly 2 logbooks drop. All day.


I am currently assuming that logbooks try to roll magic or rare quality with rarity, but since that is a non legal item in poe 2, they just poof. This feels like the waystone drops being removed from t16+ bosses because they were non legal drops before that change.


Please don't tell me i am going crazy and just on the most unlucky streak that exists.

Bumping out of curiosity. Did this trend continue?

I had the same feeling after going from 0/8 to 8/8, that I was dropping less Logbooks after that even tho I should get more.

I'm not sure how the quantity for Logbook drops works. I had like 200% increased quantity for Logbooks, I was expecting that if a Logbook would drop I'd get 2-3, but I still get only one.

But if that is the case, it must increase the general amount of Logbooks dropped, but It doesn't feel like It.
