Linking account

Please can you help me, I have just brought a new pc and decided I wanted to play on pc so I logged into my Xbox account and linked it to steam but I have now lost my character on the Xbox how do I get it back When I link the accounts it has link two accounts together could be the issue id so could you please delete the one account and leave the other active please. The account I need deleting is DarthRikkie#6567, I only have one character on the account, the characters name is DarthFrayer its a level 2 ranger Can you please delete this account that would be really apricated.
