POE 2 Skills help!

I've been trying to google/watch videos and everything i can think of but can't seem to get anywhere so i'm hoping someone here can help me!

In POE 2 I currently have a level 34 Witch/Infernalist but I can't seem to figure out what i'm missing.

I've completed all side quests so far and at the end of ACT 2 but the area for Skills that use Level 2 uncut skill gems and level 4 uncut skill gems aren't visible.

So for example if i use an uncut skill gem 9 i can use it to upgrade skills that are in level 1, 3 and 5 but the sections for skill level 2 and 4 are just non existent.

Try it again and watch the stat/lvl requirements shown.


Most likely you are lacking something and thats why cant upgrade right now.
If its just stats and you can afford to lose something, talk to Hoodie-man and respec accordingly.
If its lvl you need, keep going and grind XP

It's a bit frustrating lol but i really wish i knew what was going on.

I did a couple of things i tried to respec like you mentioned, did all the quests up till the end of act 2 (including side quests), tried to unequip all items to see if it was a stat issue and nothing.

I'm not sure it's a level issue unless you acquire skill levels out of order because I can acquire the skills associated with the uncut gem level 9.

The best visual example i can give is when you go to use the uncut gem there will be roman numerals on the screen. I would think it would go in order but mine literally go from I then III then V then VI and so on till IX.

Most of those skills require a min Int stat.

So could you please post a screenshot of your charactersheet showing the individual attributes like int, str and dex?
