So the way you lose all info on a map when you leave and comeback is stupid

So,

Compared to many other games, after you have spent HOURS fighting every single mob, discovering every single checkpoint, portaling back to the town and back to your location to sell stuff etc, you now have the WHOLE of the map and every checkpoint available to you.
Then you decide to go into another event WITHIN that map, (eg Temple of Chaos, or Venomous Barrow), and after you come out it's like the whole map was never discovered by you!!! Like every checkpoint and every detail is gone and you have to go and re-discover the whole damn thing again!!

Do you have ANY IDEA HOW FRUSTRATING THAT IS???!!!
This has now happened to me twice and I have got so close to rage quitting, so I decided to inform you of how dumb that is to try and calm myself down.

PLEASE fix this and not make it such a hellish grind to just go do a quest at a checkpoint you had already discovered...PLEASE!
This is really spoiling my enjoyment of this game...

Understandable. So, for how long would you want that map to be saved/explored?
Maps change for arpgs, you should look carefully if you have finished what you need/ed there to go to another one.
It isn't a mmorpg with maps saving..
i think it's a bug.

in poe, the instance timer which resets the instance is started when the last player left the instance.

in poe2, players think the timer is started when you enter/create the instance. if you take too long in there it resets immediately when you leave it.

my guy, those are different locations and even are indicated in your map as a separate area...
3.23 was the best league of all time (an absolute banger)
