Trial of Chaos - Impossible Room Solo

I am in a room with 3 soul cores. I can only reach two of them playing solo. The third one requires a switch operator and a fetcher. I just have to reset since it's impossible? Is this intended?

This trial also has no way to exit. My portal is disabled. The ESC menu does not let me exit. I missed the elevator walking back and there was no switch to summon it back up.
