No death portals in maps doesn't add any value to endgame.
If the point of POE2 was to slow down gameplay, why are maps such a GO-GO-GO experience? You're forced to take less risky build choices because dying isn't an option. It takes away build freedom and funnels people into cookie cutter builds. There's a lot about POE2 that I like, but the endgame feels about as fulfilling as it did in 2014. It seems like most of the people I know who play either fall into the category of never dying in maps, or dying often enough that playing feels like a chore. Content variety aside, i'm already seeing vet players shelfing the game over it. Doesn't seem like it adds more than it detracts from the gameplay.

I have to agree, the only reason I haven't touched PoE2 in days is the death in maps, too annoying. I think this is the worst idea in arpg ever, would be really bad if such a great game start loosing players silently cause they can't be bothered and don't enjoy the game anymore (like me), I'm on 2 weeks vacations and haven't touched the game, instead watched some streamers and youtube videos of PoE2... bummer.
3.23 was the best league of all time (an absolute banger)
