Monk Power charges generation issue when in team

When playing my monk together with my sorcerer teammate, my frenzy/power charges are nearly impossible to get, when solo no problem. I feel completely weak when in team as missing power, feels like the spread of the sorcerer interacts with my power generation and nerfs it terribly, anyone has the same?
