PoE2 Ascendency Trial Bugged

Hi I recently completed my second Sekhemas trial to gain 2 more ascendency points and have not received them yet even after leveling a few times. During the trial I failed a death crystal mission and it displayed "trial failed" or something along those lines, but my character didn't die and it let me continue the trial like normal. I then finished the trial, but was not rewarded any ascendency points after. I was also not given back my relic used to enter the trial. I think the issue occurred when I didn't die from the death crystal explosion, but don't know if this is the intended outcome. Please let me know if this was intentional and I simply need to find the relic again, or if there is a bug occurring. Thank you!
