Normal rarity bug When applying greater essence

The game is telling me the item is normal rarity when its defiantly a white normal item. i have a screen shot but i cant figure out how to add it. I have a expert studded vest that i want to put my greater essence of Enhancement to try and get a good first roll of evasion+ on it but its not normal rarity even tho it has nothing rolled onto it yet.
