Huge FPS drops
I have an amd 7600x and amd 7900 xt. Both overclocked. Ram set to 5400mhz currently. Poe 2 installed on a gen 4 m2 drive. Resolution is 3440x1440 2k ultrawide. My connection is around 32ms.
Dont be sensitive... but when I play d4 I set the frame limit to 165 (my refresh rate) and it bounces off the limit all day, and in the real big mobs, the frames may drop to 120. Everything set to max except raytracing turned off. In poe 2... the TOP frames I get may be 150 sitting in my hideout... and come the mobs.. small mobs will bring me down to around 70fps... big mobs take me down to 40fps... sometimes, even lower. I have seen 28-35fps. I have tried everything I can find to change this. At a certain point its like.. snap out of it. What am I doing? My hardware should handle this fine. This game should not be crumbling. I play a witch summoner build. Arsonists + flame wall + unearth. Once the little guys come out of unearth and run through the flame wall its OVER buddy, its over. We're hitting 38fps, crash landing incoming. Its bothering me and im burning out my attention span. Anyone? I have cleared shader, set cpu priority to realtime, tried limiting cores, tried all the game settings in the world and more, even limiting sound channels, limiting lights, all the rendering types, etc etc etc. At a certain point why am I limiting things and limiting my fps to 60 in hopes of finding stability? Why. I don't do this on any other game. I always have great performance in any. other. game. Pls send help. I know its early access. It didn't come out of nowhere though... poe 1 and all.. helllpppppp Last edited by CyclicAmnesia#5634 on Dec 26, 2024, 12:57:50 PM Last bumped on Dec 26, 2024, 12:49:13 PM
