Quest item drop (Sacrificial Heart)

Hi,

I accidentally dropped the [Sacrificial Heart] in the city (Act 3), I went back through the areas to kill the monsters so that the item would drop and I had no luck, is it a bug or can I no longer have the item because I dropped it?

I'm missing 2 weapon skill points
